Not Patch Testing

Forgetting to patch test a new brow product is definitely an eyebrow fail. Testing the product on a small patch of skin 48 hours before beginning the tinting process is highly recommended. Not all formulas or brands are the same. Facial skin, especially around the eyes, is one of the most sensitive areas of our bodies. Because of this, it is important to test any new cosmetics or makeup product before using it. “Patch testing is important because there are a number of allergens in products that can cause allergic contact dermatitis, otherwise known as an itchy rash,” says Dendy Engelman, a dermatologist in New York City. Common chemicals found in hair colorants are known to cause allergic reactionsonsome individual's skin. Common allergy symptoms include swelling, itchiness, and burning. While many allergic reactions are mild and cause relatively minor symptoms, some can indeed be dangerous for your health.

Not Using Correct Eyebrow Products

Today, it is common for people to tint their brows with products that are tailored for beards and scalp hair; however, these dyes are not suitable for our eyebrow hairs. These formulas are meant to adhere to the thicker hairs on beards and scalps, not the finer hairs on our brows. Additionally, using beard or hair dyes on your brows can be too harsh and result in patchy, darker brows than intended.

Also, most hair dyes and beard dyes contain chemicals such as PPD, used to penetrate the beard follicle and color from within. Unfortunately, p-Phenylenediamine (PPD) is known to be a well-known allergen. Just For Men contains chemicals like PPD which, according to the American Contact Dermatitis Society, can cause severe allergic reactions if used incorrectly.

Eyebrow tints are specifically designed to provide precision and even color, every time. These dyes are gentler on the skin and will give you natural-looking results.

Overspending

There are many temporary eyebrow solutions such as eyebrow pencils and brow gels; however, for the price you are spending, they do not last nearly long enough. Instead of overspending on a product that does not last a full 24 hours, why not invest in a brow tint that you apply once a month and gives you brows that last for weeks? Our Instant Eyebrow Tint offers single, three, or six applications that will fit into anyone’s budget and anyone’s time! You can easily tint your brows within the comfort of your home, and the product willlast up to 4 weeks. Say goodbye to your brow makeup products and say hello to waking up every morning with flawless brows. Questions or comments? Let us know below!

I brught the instant eyebrow tint with no instructionsfrom a chemist. Do I add water or anything to the brow colour capsules at all?
